The Armflex Fenestrated Tracheostomy Cannula Without Cuff is indicated for tracheostomy patients who have acquired autonomy in managing the device on their own or with the help of their family.

It facilitates maintaining cannula patency at all times. If a mucous plug forms, the inner cannula must be removed; the outer cannula alone is sufficient to transiently maintain device functionality.

The cannula wall is reinforced with a stainless steel spiral that provides high resistance to kinking and lumen collapse due to extrinsic compression.

The product is supplied with:

- (2) inner cannulas so the patient always has one in use and one clean for replacement.

- (1) phonation valve, which with its one-way mechanism allows air to enter through the cannula during the inspiratory phase and prevents air from exiting during the expiratory phase. Air that cannot exit through the distal end is directed through the orifices of the inner and outer cannulas toward the vocal cords to produce phonation.

- (1) standard connector, allowing connection to mechanical ventilation devices (manual or automatic ventilators) and nebulization devices.

- (1) cough cap, used to prevent tracheobronchial secretions from being ejected during expiration or coughing episodes.

- (1) fixation strap (velour with velcro), ensuring correct cannula fixation without risk of breaking the fixing plate.

Supplied with an introducing stylet to facilitate insertion in recently performed tracheostomies.
