The Tube for Treatment of Esophageal Varices is indicated for the temporary control of bleeding from esophageal varices.

Its purpose is to make a direct compression of the hemorrhagic focus and decrease the blood flow through collateral veins.

The product is mainly used in cases of massive bleeding in which drug treatment is not effective, endoscopic treatment (sclerotherapy or ligation) is not technically possible due to visibility difficulties, and the risk of death is high.

It is applied in patients with ongoing bleeding, so the health team must act quickly and effectively.
